Our approach

We're not here to sell you Salesforce.

We've sat with hire businesses who tried a CRM before and dropped it. Usually the tool wasn't the problem β€” it got bolted onto a process that was never written down, so nobody could tell if it was working. That's a different problem, and it's fixable.

The question we ask before anything else isn't "what do you want to build?" It's "is this the right solution for your specific needs?"

If the answer is yes, we'll build something that fits your hire business specifically. If the answer is no, we'll say so β€” even if that means we don't get the work.

How we work

Four things we do consistently.

01

Listen first

We start by understanding how your hire desk actually works β€” where quotes get stuck, how availability gets checked, who's carrying knowledge nobody's written down. Not your tech stack.

In practice, this usually means a conversation with whoever runs the hire desk day-to-day β€” not the MD, not a slide deck. The detail is what matters.
02

Honest assessment

Sometimes Salesforce is the right answer. Sometimes the answer is: get your enquiry-to-quote process written down first, then come back to us. We've told hire businesses that before, and we'll tell you too if that's where you are.

The most common version of this: a hire business wants to automate something, but the underlying process changes every time depending on who's doing it. Software won't fix that β€” process clarity comes first.
03

Right-sized solution

For most hire businesses that means starting with quoting and availability β€” the two things actually costing you jobs β€” before touching asset tracking or portals. One measurable piece, proven, before the next.

Not a six-month implementation with everything bet on a single go-live. You should see something working before we discuss what comes next.
04

Partner, not vendor

We only work in hire. That's not pickiness β€” it means we're not learning your business from scratch when you call, and when something comes up six months after go-live, you're not starting a new conversation with someone who's forgotten the context.

We're selective about the clients we work with because we're investing in long-term relationships, not one-time projects. Your success is our best marketing.

The question we ask

Is this the right solution for your specific needs?

That question doesn't have a predetermined answer. We ask it genuinely, at the start of every conversation, and we let the answer determine what happens next.

Most software vendors don't do this β€” because the answer they want is always yes. We'd rather give you an honest read and lose the work than build something that doesn't fit and lose the relationship.

If the answer is yes

We'll build you something specific to hire β€” not a generic CRM with your logo on it. Scoped clearly, priced upfront, starting with the one thing that'll make the most difference first.

If the answer is no β€” or not yet

We'll tell you what we think needs to happen first, and point you toward it β€” even if that means we're not involved. That might be: clarify your process, get the ops system working properly, or simply come back in six months when the timing's right.

Because your success is our best marketing

We're a small team in a specialist market. The best thing that can happen for us is a hire business telling another hire business that we got it right.

Working with us

What you can expect in practice.

🚫

No pressure

We don't do follow-up sequences or urgency tactics. If the conversation is useful, you'll know. If it isn't, that's a fair outcome too.

πŸ’¬

Plain language

No CRM jargon, no platform terminology. We talk in the language of hire β€” on-hire, off-hire, hire desk, depot β€” because that's the business we're building for.

πŸ“‹

Realistic timelines

We scope what's actually achievable before anything is agreed. What's quoted is what's billed. If we get the scoping wrong, that's our problem β€” not yours to absorb.

πŸ”§

Support after go-live

We don't disappear after launch. The first few weeks of real use always surface things that weren't visible in the build β€” we stay involved until the system is actually working, not just technically deployed.

Your success is our best marketing.

We're a small team in a specialist market. Word travels in hire. The best outcome for us is a hire MD telling another hire MD that we got it right β€” which means we only take on work where we think we can.

Ready for a different kind of conversation?

No demos, no sales pitch β€” just an honest discussion about your challenges and whether we're the right fit to help.
